Drive-Tech Karting is based at the famous Castle Combe motor racing circuit in north Wiltshire. We have a purpose-built 350m track surfaced in the same SMA asphalt as used at Grand Prix tracks around the world. Practice and training sessions are available for adults and juniors using our 200cc Stratos karts.
Drive-Tech runs a junior racing club for drivers between the ages of 10 and 15 years, and the competition is some of the most intense in the southwest. We supply the karts and clothing, and all the drivers have to do is turn up and race. Many of the top drivers subsequently take their ARKS test with the school and move on to race competitively at MSA level.
Adult drivers are catered for in our Public Grands Prix throughout the year when drivers of all abilities do battle on one of the fastest leisure tracks in the area. Again, Drive-Tech supplies all equipment and experience gained in these events is a good way of practisingrace skills before progressing to ARKS training.
ARKS tests are held through the year at weekends if there is no public or private racing. Only four-stroke karts are allowed on our track, but you are welcome to bring your own Pro-Kart or to hire our equipment. All tests are by prior arrangement – at busy times there may be limited availability or specific dates set aside. Contact Alan Cooper or his office on 01249 783010.
